Alan Britt New Poem - The Recusant

Alan Britt

Listening to Roy Buchanan's Peter Gunn

Roy Buchanan’s reptilian telecaster
claws the azalea wallpaper from the graveyard
of us poor mortals still alive.

God always demands our love,
or the universe,
whichever comes first.
